Compare Metrics Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

Screen Shot 2014-03-26 at 8.45.03 AMCompare Metrics, a provider of navigation and discovery solutions, has hired Mike Sherman, a RichRelevance alum, as its new Chief Technology Officer. 

Sherman brings more than 20 years of experience successfully building and managing engineering teams to develop Big Data and personalization solutions. In his new position, Sherman will be responsible for the overall technology strategy for Compare Metrics, and will spearhead the development and delivery of the company’s Adaptive Commerce solutions.

Previously, Sherman served as Director of Retail Engineering for RichRelevance, where he was responsible for the development of the company’s retail products. During his tenure, Sherman tripled the engineering team in 12 months and oversaw product integration during the Avail acquisition. Sherman’s career also includes roles at DemandTech, Kareo and Mocana.

The appointment is a “huge win for Compare Metrics” because Sherman brings detailed experience working with companies “that are focused on personalization and creating useful technologies that run off of big data assets,” said Garrett Easthem, CEO of Compare Metrics. “With his extensive background in growing and overseeing engineering and technology teams, I am confident that Mike will play a major role to the evolution and overall success of our company.”
