Apparel and accessories retailer Vineyard Vines has partnered with mobile technology platform PredictSpring to develop and launch a new mobile app in advance of the holiday season. The app will include features such as a holiday gift guide, a shoppable Instagram feed and 3D touch capabilities.
The app enables customers to browse and shop the Vineyard Vines Instagram feed via a “Buy Button” that is designed to make the social media platform instantly shoppable, while the app’s holiday gift guide provides insight into gift ideas throughout the retail site.
The 3D Touch feature provides consumers with multiple functions depending on whether they tap, press or deep press the app icon. In addition, the app sends notifications of in-store promotions and alerts customers when they are near a Vineyard Vines location.
The Vineyard Vines app integrates with Touch ID on the iPhone, enabling customers to log in using the device’s fingerprint authentication technology instead of a password.
