Starboard Group’s new land-based vacation retail division, Starboard Resort, has opened its first group of stores, The Boutiques at Westgate Las Vegas, in partnership with Westgate Resorts. Three new shops will feature curated luxury items such as fine jewelry, on-trend fashion and special occasion apparel, as well as Starboard’s exclusive fashion jewelry brand.
“We know from our many decades of curating elevated retail environments for the world’s best cruise lines that vacationers love unique, memorable shopping experiences — but we recognized that guests at vacation resorts were often underserved when it came to retail operations,” said Lisa Bauer, President and CEO of Starboard Group in a statement. “By launching our first land-based boutiques in partnership with Westgate Las Vegas, we’re taking the first significant steps to close this gap.”
The shops will include:
- Luxe by Starboard, the only retail offering in the resort’s main lobby, is a 300-square-foot shop encased in glass on three sides. It features a curated assortment of fine jewelry, natural and lab-grown diamonds, certified pre-owned Swiss timepieces, and pre-owned and vintage designer bags and small leather goods from brands including Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Prada;
- The Edit by Starboard, featuring edgy fashion and special occasion apparel for men and women, as well as Westgate Resorts-branded apparel, a bridal capsule, candles, fragrances and souvenirs. The 1,250-square-foot shop includes designer sunglasses from Ray-Ban, Gucci and Prada and tech accessories from Skullcandy; and
- The 250-square-foot Baubles by Starboard, offering fashion jewelry, permanent jewelry and customization options include on-site engraving services, providing guests with wearable memories that connect them back to their vacation experience. Shae, Starboard’s exclusive fashion jewelry brand, is featured prominently along with Jet Set Candy, a travel-inspired jewelry brand.
Interactive elements include the ability for customers to book personal shopping appointments at Luxe by Starboard; Vegas-themed wall wraps and camera stands that support selfie-taking at The Edit by Starboard; and a “charm bar” at the Baubles by Starboard shop where customers can customize bracelets and necklaces.
