Redbox Automated Retail has agreed to purchase NCR Corporation’s DVD kiosks, selected retailer contracts, and DVD inventory from the company’s entertainment line of business. The acquisition adds approximately 9,000 new retail locations to the Redbox network. As part of the agreement, Redbox will pay close to $100 million for the assets.
