Uber Eats will now offer deliveries of pet foods, accessories, habitats and healthcare products from more than 1,600 PetSmart stores in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. PetSmart is the first pet retailer to work with Uber Eats, joining Bed Bath & Beyond, Office Depot and grocery retailers including Albertsons, Meijer and Costco.
Since launching its first non-food partnership in 2020 and the introduction of its dedicated Kids and Baby category in 2021, Uber’s grocery, retail and new verticals business has grown to more than 100,000 merchant partners.
“Convenience means something a little different for every pet parent,” said Stacia Andersen, EVP and Chief Customer Officer at PetSmart in a statement. “By joining the Uber Eats marketplace, we’re giving pet parents yet another way to shop in the way that best fits their preference, schedule and lifestyle.”
U.S consumers placing first-time orders from PetSmart stores can receive $20 off purchases of $50 or more through May 31, 2023, and Uber One loyalty program members will get free delivery and 10% off eligible orders with a $15 minimum purchase.
