JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) will work with Avolta company retailers Dufry and Hudson to operate duty-free, travel and specialty retail stores in more than 28,000 square feet of space in the new state-of-the-art Terminal 6 at JFK Airport, scheduled to open in early 2026. Products, food and beverage sourced from local New York City businesses and entrepreneurs will be available alongside a curated mix of luxury brands, perfumes and cosmetics, spirits, jewelry and accessories.
JMP was selected by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which runs the airport, to build and operate the new $4.2 billion Terminal 6, part of the airport’s $19 billion overhaul.
“From the outset we challenged prospective bidders to think outside the box and be creative about how T6 will redefine the standard for duty free in North America,” said Sammy Patel, VP, Commercial at Vantage Group, a JMP partner, in a statement. “Guests can look forward to a mixture of global brands as well as iconic local businesses that together will create a true sense of place that is unique to New York and Queens.”
Dufry will develop an 18,200-square-foot duty-free shop, divided into four distinct areas, which will draw its inspiration from NYC’s Union Square:

- The Liquor Libraries, inspired by the city’s renowned libraries, will carry brands like Glenfiddich and Manhattan’s own Great Jones Distilling Co. In another space, styled like a Prohibition-era speakeasy, travelers will be invited to taste and learn about spirits;
- The Green Market will feature NYC artisanal goods and will be an organic, constantly evolving space providing a fresh experience each time travelers visit;
- The Pavilion, featuring elegant architecture reminiscent of Union Square’s North Plaza, will showcase beauty and skincare brands; and
- Theater of Dreams will be a “fragrance haven” inspired by Union Square’s Daryl Roth Theater and spotlighting the latest in fragrance artistry.
Hudson will open nearly 10,000 square feet of travel convenience and specialty retail shops, including:
- Chelsea Outpost, celebrating the famous Chelsea Market along Manhattan’s High Line, will offer travel essentials and news items as well as unique local products like aromatherapy blends from Madison + Green;
- City Square Supply, inspired by the gourmet grocers and delis throughout Union Square, will feature local and sustainably crafted products;
- Skyline Central, featuring accessories, gadgets and mementos as well as grab-and-go food options; and
- Astor & Lenox, recreating the feel of wandering through the Bryant Park marketplace with its name nodding to the New York Public Library’s long history. The 5,000-square-foot space will offer premium lifestyle brands, tech essentials, books, local sports apparel and memorabilia and travel convenience staples.
