Consumer Cellular Plans to Double Store Count to 100 by 2026

Consumer Cellular, a wireless provider that provides services designed for Americans over the age of 50, has opened its 50th store and plans to double its brick-and-mortar footprint to 100 locations by 2026. This will mark an acceleration of already fast growth; Consumer Cellular only opened its first company-owned store less than three years ago, in November 2022.

As all its stores do, the new location in Boardman, Ohio, will feature in-person support, free coffee and snacks and special learning sessions explaining phone functions and features as well as the use of popular apps.

“More than 4 million subscribers trust us for simple, affordable plans and top phone brands, with great coverage and award-winning customer support,” said Ed Evans, CEO of Consumer Cellular in a statement. “We’re building on the popularity of the award-winning, person-to-person support we provide through our 100% U.S.-based customer call centers, by bringing a friendly, helpful, in-person customer experience to neighborhoods throughout the U.S.”
