Ecwid, an e-Commerce platform designed to allow small businesses to build an online store on any web site, has collaborated with payments processor Square to offer brick-and-mortar retailers the ability to sell anywhere online and keep all channels in sync.
Merchants using Ecwid now can import their Square product catalog into their online store, automatically configure Square payments and manage end-to-end operations all in one place. When the retailer makes the sale either online or in-person, all product, inventory and order data will synchronize automatically.
“With Ecwid, I was able to get my online store up and running without having to hire a web developer,” said Melanie Cronin, owner of Cronin Art USA. “On top of that, it gives me unified inventory management, so my gallery and webstore always are synced. Everything is so easy with Ecwid and Square. I literally can treat my in-store and online systems as one. Now, we sell our art all year round to anyone, wherever they may be, instead of just during the tourist season.”

The solution also enables retailers to configure separate product lists for their online shop and physical store front. With the Square integration, retailers also can accept credit cards with no monthly fees or setup fees attached.
