Omnego Partners With FuzeBuy To Offer Secure Online Gifting Solutions
FuzeBuy has selected Omnego to enable the delivery and redemption of gift cards via consumers’ smartphones. The partnership will allow FuzeBuy to extend its offering in the mobile channel and given offer customers a breadth of mobile marketing capabilities, according to FuzeBuy’s Managing Director, Randy Fox, in a press release.“E-gift cards are experiencing exponential growth, and the ability to now deliver and redeem mobile gift cards from a mobile device anytime, anywhere adds convenience to the consumer,” said David Thomas, CEO of Omnego. Earlier this month, Omnego teamed up with Admeris Payment Systems to deliver secure mobile payments via itsmobile wallet platform. The Omnego mobile wallet app platform supports advertising, messaging, alerts, invoice notifications and receipts.
Macy’s recently launched its back-to-school cause marketing campaign partnership with DoSomething.org leveraging direct mail, email, mobile and social media. The retailer will donate $1 to DoSomething.org each time a QR code is scanned by a shopper in themstylelab, or the juniors and young men’s department. Additionally, consumers will be directed to a sign-up page for a chance to join the youth volunteer organization and view videos on the latest fashion trends. By participating in volunteer activities and responding to the “Do Something Cause” quiz, participants will be automatically entered to win a $250 Macy’s shopping spree. DoSomething will use the donations to award scholarships to selected recipients. The campaign is being promoted via direct mail and email and will run through October 15, 2011. In other news, in July 2011, Macy’s announced various back-to-school promotions. Other initiatives include new brand roll-outs by Maidenform, Jessica Simpson, Tommy Girl and Material Girl, as well as additional back-to-school partnerships.
