Arctic Cat, a manufacturer and retailer of snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles (ATV), reported that its official eBay store is responsible for 10% of all U.S. sales. The online store is powered by the ship-from-store platform from Shopatron, a provider of cloud-based, e-Commerce order management solutions.
Launched in September 2013, the Arctic Cat eBay store is designed to allow consumers to shop on eBay, where they receive access to a range of official Arctic Cat gear and merchandise, as well as support from company fulfillment partners. The retailer first partnered with Shopatron in 2011 to launch its Parts, Garments and Accessories online store, which included in-store pickup and ship-from-store options.
“For several years, our partnership with Shopatron has enabled us to connect loyal Arctic Cat enthusiasts with our dealers,” said Rodney Larson, Senior Pricing Analyst at Arctic Cat. “The new eBay store takes that functionality to a whole new level, bridging the gap between our dealers and a marketplace that is seeing growth ahead of e-Commerce growth.”

Shopatron recently studied its eBay sellers and found that more than 90% of customers buying from brands on the site had not purchased on the companies’ sites in the past two years, highlighting a new opportunity for businesses to connect with loyal eBay users.
“EBay shoppers are a unique group of buyers, loyal to eBay, who are responding to our brands’ shopping experiences on eBay.com,” said Greg Squires, VP of Client Success at Shopatron. “Brands are looking for ways to capture new markets and gain new customers; our clients have been pleased with the outcome thus far.”
