On October 7-8, Amazon will unofficially kick off the 2025 holiday season with the fall edition of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, featuring deals available exclusively to Prime members. This third fall Prime Day event will take place in the U.S. and 17 other countries, including, for the first time, Colombia, Ireland and Mexico.
Target to Add 35 Cities to its Next-Day Delivery Map
The Prime Day event will fall in the middle of the holiday kickoff by one of Amazon’s biggest brick-and-mortar rivals, Target, which will hold its Target Circle Week Oct. 5-11. Members of the free-to-join Target Circle program will discover 20,000 new items, twice as many as in 2024, with more than half exclusive to Target and with thousands of items starting at just $5. Shoppers in the retailer’s paid membership program, Target Circle 360, will get exclusive early access to deals starting Oct. 4.
Additionally, Target will be expanding next-day delivery to 35 top U.S. markets by the end of October, and plans to add another 20 cities next year. Next-day delivery will be available for thousands of items, including 85% of what’s sold in-store. Target offers same-day delivery to more than 80% of the U.S. population.
Target also has created a new Target Deals page, allowing consumers to explore offers tailored for them and get a sneak peek at upcoming offers.
Amazon Dives Deeper into Denim

In advance of the fall sale, Amazon has added a hot new category to its Essentials private label lineup — denim. The new line, fronted by Gen Z influencers Kate Barlett and Luca Mornet, will offer premium quality denim, with all items priced at under $50. Classic denim jackets are available alongside on-trend cuts such as wide-leg silhouettes.
The denim category has been gaining new “heat” via celebrity partnerships — such as Levi’s with Beyoncé and the divisive but successful American Eagle campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney that plays on the genes/jeans homophone — not to mention a general enthusiasm among consumers for Western and ‘90s styles.
