Albertsons Companies, the parent company of 19 grocery and pharmacy retail banners including Albertsons, Safeway and ACME, has selected product discovery platform RangeMe to scale its retail buying efforts within the general merchandise, health and beauty categories. The retailers also will use the solution to manage its inbound product submission process.
RangeMe provides an online platform designed to streamline new product discovery between retailers and product suppliers. Buyers and suppliers can concentrate their time finding relevant and trending products for customers, who then benefit from a broader selection of items to choose from.
The platform is designed to give suppliers increased control over the marketing of their products and greater access to retail buyers.

“This new technology directly benefits our customers and employees alike,” said Mark Panzer, Senior VP of Pharmacy Health and Wellness at Albertsons Companies in a statement. “By implementing the RangeMe platform, our teams can quickly locate and stock shelves with products that our customers want, like organic health and beauty products or local items or brands. It saves us time and money, which is passed on to our shoppers.”
Sephora and Ahold USA adopted the RangeMe product discovery platform in January 2017.
