Albertsons Cos. and Google have partnered to debut several technological enhancements to the grocery shopping experience. New capabilities include integration with Google Search and Maps to help shoppers find what they need; easier ways to shop with Google Pay; and the addition of Google Cloud AI technologies such as Vision AI, Recommendations AI and Business Messages to Albertsons’ operations.
Albertsons and Google have been working together behind the scenes for the past year. Specific innovations include AI-powered features like personalized service, easier ordering and predictive shopping list building. The partnership also will improve the last mile experience by offering shoppers helpful information about online ordering from many Albertsons stores directly within Google Maps’ mobile search function.
