Customer Retention Cloud provider Sailthru has acquired Carnival, maker of a mobile marketing automation platform. The acquisition will allow Sailthru to give brands such as JustFab and TaskRabbit the ability to use cross-channel personalization, automation and analytics based on a single customer profile.
Sailthru manages more than 1.7 billion unique worldwide customer profiles, and the data enables retailers and media marketers to deliver a seamless, cross-channel experience to each individual. With the integration of Carnival, mobile engagements will also be informed by these profiles.
Carnival’s Mobile Marketing Suite features push notifications, in-app messaging, mobile analytics and a customizable message center that allows marketers to automate messages by customer behavior, location and demographic data.
