Collectibles brand Funko and entertainment icon Snoop Dogg are teaming up for a new product line that will be showcased in a co-branded store set to open in Inglewood, Calif. early next year.
“Snoop Dogg is an entertainment powerhouse and remains one of the most innovative and versatile figures in the entertainment industry,” said Andrew Perlmutter, CEO of Funko in a statement. “We look forward to the debut of our newest retail experience and our partnership with Snoop, whose expertise and impact on pop culture further elevates the brand’s opportunity to connect with fandoms within music and sports.”
Dubbed Tha Dogg House, the store will be Funko’s first co-branded retail concept, joining its two other stores in Hollywood, Calif. and Everett, Wash. Tha Dogg House will be located next to Snoop Dogg’s Clothing, a retail location showcasing clothing, memorabilia and accessories from the artist. Design elements in Tha Dogg House also will pay homage to Snoop’s career, and the store will feature a line of Snoop Dogg-themed exclusives as well as products featuring other brands. Outside, a massive Snoop mural of Funko Pop! figures inspired by the rapper will give fans ample photo opportunities.
“Snoop Dogg’s creative genius takes Funko’s newest retail experience to the next level,” said Brian Mariotti, Chief Creative Officer of Funko in a statement. “The immersive, Snoop-inspired floor plan appeals to his fanbase while providing all Funko fans access to some of the most sought-after exclusives.”
