Target and Walmart’s white-label delivery solutions are picking up new retail partners: Target’s Shipt will offer same-day delivery for three Save Mart Companies banners in California and Nevada, and Walmart GoLocal has added its first athletic fashion brand in a new partnership with Hibbett

Save Mart Adds Same-Day Delivery for Food and Alcohol

The Save Mart Companies has tapped Shipt, a wholly owned subsidiary of Target, to offer same-day delivery from its Save Mart, Lucky California and FoodMaxx banners. The deal adds more than 170 stores to the Shipt Marketplace in California and Nevada.

Shipt will provide full pick, pack and delivery services. The partnership also will enable access to alcohol delivery from nearly all of The Save Mart Company participating stores in California cities, including Fresno, Sacramento, San Jose, Modesto and San Francisco.

“Our mission is to continue meeting the evolving needs of our customers each day,” said Tamara Pattison, Chief Digital Officer at The Save Mart Companies in a statement. “By increasing and diversifying our portfolio of ecommerce partners, we’re allowing customers to access what they love most about shopping online.”

Fashion retailer Hibbett is now offering same- and next-day delivery via its new partnerships with Walmart GoLocal and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

Hibbett customers can get same- or next-day delivery on thousands of items that will be fulfilled from hundreds of Hibbett and City Gear stores across the country. While shopping on Hibbett.com, customers can simply sort products available for same- or next-day delivery at checkout according to their zip code.

The GoLocal partnership, and the fast delivery it will enable, are made possible by Hibbett’s new deployment of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, which has given the retailer a more flexible, scalable ecommerce foundation.

“Customers shop Hibbett and City Gear for their favorite footwear and athletic-inspired apparel from top brands, and now they will have the opportunity to receive coveted items quicker than ever before with a seamless omnichannel shopping experience,” said Ben Knighten, SVP of Operations at Hibbett in a statement. “Expanding our omnichannel fulfillment capabilities with Walmart GoLocal and Salesforce positions Hibbett and City Gear to provide our loyal customers with even more convenience.”

“Shoppers today expect speed and convenience when it comes to delivery, and 74% of consumers say it takes less than three bad experiences before they switch brands,” said Michael Affronti, SVP and General Manager of Commerce Cloud at Salesforce in a statement. “The combined power of Walmart GoLocal and Salesforce Commerce Cloud helps customers like Hibbett unlock a more seamless order fulfillment experience, deliver products to customers faster and drive efficiency in the last mile so that customers can get their products when and where they want them.”
