CVS Health has partnered with DoorDash to offer same-day contactless delivery for an assortment of 3,000 products, according to Adweek. The service is currently available in Dallas, Houston, Manhattan and Philadelphia, with the Bronx, Brooklyn, San Francisco and Boston to follow and a nationwide rollout planned for July.
Eligible items include beauty products, health products including over-the-counter medications, household cleaning products select grocery products such as milk and cereal. The deliveries are made on-demand, and customers don’t need to preschedule their orders with time slots.
“We are committed to providing our customers with convenient delivery methods that suit their lifestyle,” said George Coleman, SVP of Merchandising at CVS Health in a statement. “This partnership allows customers to get the nonprescription daily essentials they need while continuing to practice social distancing.”
CVS also offers same-day delivery through Instacart and Shipt, and it began experimenting with autonomous delivery options in June 2019. Additionally, the retailer is waiving fees for prescription delivery through the U.S. Postal Service until June 30.
