Fairway Market, a food retailer based in the New York metropolitan area, has announced the launch of its new mobile app, which was designed to provide customers with personalized deals and food profiles.
“The Fairway app is multi-layered, offering so many advantages to make shopping trips easier, and preparation and cooking a very satisfying experience,” said Herb Ruetsch, CEO of Fairway Market. “It is a continuous source of knowledge and motivation for those who truly love good food.”
Available for free through the iTunes App Store, the Fairway Market app allows users to create their own profiles and show their dietary habits. The app then collects deals and special offers that match a customer’s diet, while also offering a list of recipes for any ingredient the user selects.

Other features of the app include:
- The ability to add/delete items on a built-in shopping list by tappinga product photo;
- Product and/or ingredient suggestions that align with specific meal ideas; and
- Information about store locations, business hours and floor plans.
Applications for Android and iPad devices will be released in early 2014.
