IKEA U.S. is putting its own spin on “vacations” and “staycations” with the launch of “IKEA Renocations” on Pinterest. Created to help inspire consumers and bring the feeling of several destinations into various rooms of the home, the campaign launched May 19 and is a collaborative effort across Wavemaker, Ogilvy and Jebbit.
Tapping into the platform’s 85 million+ audience of those searching for home inspiration and ways to shop, IKEA U.S. has launched a custom quiz experience through Pinterest. The immersive interaction brings shoppers deeper into home furnishing inspiration and products from IKEA with questions like, “If you could be anywhere irl… Where would you be?” That’s followed by a series of combinations that allow the shopper to choose a personalized dream “Renocation.” Following the three-question quiz, shoppers receive a personalized Pinterest Board with inspiring content and product recommendations based on their answers.
