The National Retail Federation Board of Directors has elected Mike George, Chairman and CEO of Qurate Retail, as its new chairman. Qurate Retail’s brands include QVC, HSN and Zulily. George replaces BJ’s Wholesale Club Chairman and CEO Christopher Baldwin, who has served since January 2018.
Additionally, three new members have been elected to the board: Sharon M. Leitte, CEO, Vitamin Shoppe; Patrice Louvet, President and CEO, Ralph Lauren; and Robert Wallstrom, President, CEO and Director at Vera Bradley.
“By any measure Mike has distinguished himself throughout his career as an innovator and highly successful global retail leader,” said NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay in a statement. “As we begin the third decade of the 21st century, NRF is extremely fortunate to have Mike’s knowledge, background and expertise as this dynamic industry continually transforms.”
