Venus et Fleur

Venus et Fleur, the luxury gifting brand known for its Eternity florals, has opened its 10th retail location at the River Oaks District shopping complex in Houston. This is the first store designed using the brand’s new physical retail identity, developed in partnership with Ringo Studio, a Brooklyn-based interior design studio.

The 915-square-foot retail store was designed to represent Venus et Fleur’s core brand principles, which include timelessness, permanence and an “heirloom essence.” Ringo Studio made nods to romantic and classical architecture, including elegant material elements such as a diamond pattern ceramic floor, green marble tiles and brass details.

“Venus et Fleur symbolizes the myriad expressions of love, and our vision for the store’s design was to encapsulate the many facets of this universal human emotion — from romance and flirtation to a deep, enduring connection” said Madelynn Ringo, Founder and Creative Director at Ringo Studio in a statement.

The pistachio limewash entrance serves as a portal of sorts, allowing customers to enter the brand’s universe. The central area is encircled by arched niches to present Venus et Fleur’s collection of flowers and colorful vessels. Cream-colored fluted panels create a soft-glowing backdrop for product shelving and visual displays. Florals are merchandised by color to create an immersive gradient effect, while a large table embossed with the brand name and finished with green marble tile showcases the Venus et Fleur homeware collection of ceramic vases, marble bowls, porcelain trays and floral-inspired glassware.

Tucked away at the back of the store is a “content room,” featuring larger-than-life floral sculptures and custom-designed rose-patterned curtains. This space was designed to be a dynamic and evolving space, so Venus et Fleur can transform it to create new experiences and activations on a rotating basis.
