Fendi

Fendi has relocated and upgraded its boutique at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Honolulu. The 3,186-square-foot space is designed with thoughtful references to the fashion house’s Italian heritage; for example, the store features a re-creation of the arches at Fendi’s headquarters at Palazzo della Civilità Italiana as well as handmade concrete palm tiles. These traditional elements are complemented by contemporary touches such as travertine shelves.

The two-story location features Fendi’s latest ready-to-wear collections, women’s and men’s leather goods, accessories and shoes. The palm tiles extend throughout the space, yet each room has distinct touches. On the first floor, there is a focus wall of women’s bags displayed on travertine shelves.

Customers can venture up the staircase — which is made of locally sourced Hawaiian Acacia koa wood and is complemented by an accent wall adorned in striped travertine with Maison FF codes — to browse ready-to-wear collections. The womenswear area is adorned with concrete flooring covered by handmade golden- and copper-colored agave fiber carpets and red travertine display tables. The menswear section has a green and caramel color palette and is outfitted with wooden and raffia elements. In the footwear area, shoes are displayed on marble shelves and customers can sit in Fendi Casa furniture that ties in raffia and wood accents.

A special client room is hidden by natural texturized sliding doors. The arched space is bright thanks to natural light and designed with luxury details such as Patagonia marble and champagne metal.
