Whole Foods Market has named three former execs of Walmart, Starbucks and Williams-Sonoma as Global Vice Presidents.
Sonya Gafsi Oblisk has been appointed Global VP of Marketing, and will lead the company’s marketing, advertising and brand development departments. Oblisk has 15 years of experience in retail, including an eight-year tenure at Walmart as VP of Marketing for Sam’s Club.
Former Starbucks Chief Talent Officer and VP of People Development Martin Tracey was named Global VP of Team Member Services. He will be responsible for the end-to-end team member experience, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, and more.

Brooke Buchanan will be Whole Foods Market’s new Global VP of Communications. Buchanan previously served as VP of Public Relations at Williams-Sonoma, VP of Communications at Theranos, and has also held multiple senior positions at Walmart. She will lead the company’s public relations, internal communications and government affairs efforts.
