Zenni Optical Cuts Product Data Management Time 70% with PIM Solution

Since implementing a product information management (PIM) solution from Akeneo in January, Zenni Optical has reduced data inconsistency issues across teams by approximately 60% and cut the time needed to manage product data by over 70%.

The online eyewear retailer, which sells in both B2B and B2C channels and is working with brick-and-mortar retailer U.S.Vision, has categorized approximately 3,000 SKUs since adopting the PIM solution, with more in the pipeline. Implementing Akeneo as a centralized product pool allows the retailer to offer a dedicated product catalog for both B2C and B2B operations while helping ensure product data is consistent and accurate across all teams and sales channels.

“As Zenni is expanding its product offerings, it became clear that we needed a system to accommodate the growing complexity and volume of products we are managing,” said David Ting, Global CTO and General Manager at Zenni Optical in a statement. “We’re confident that this partnership will improve our product lifecycle management and we’re excited to be leveraging Akeneo’s product experience platform in our day-to-day operations.”

Zenni Optical has been upgrading its tech stack and achieving strong results; the retailer recently adopted an advanced search solution that boosted revenue per search session by 34%.
