Youngland Kiddie Shops has implemented a variety of solutions from Aptos, formerly Epicor Retail, to support retail operations, improve customer engagement and streamline chainwide efficiencies.
The discount retailer — which operates 17 stores under the Kid City brand — implemented several Aptos solutions through the cloud, including: Store and Mobile Store (Point of Sale); CRM; Merchandising; WebIM (Inventory Management); and Sales Audit.
Previously running its stores on antiquated systems, Youngland Kiddie Shops sought a solution that could scale with the business as it grew.

Using Aptos solutions, Kid City associates can create and complete transactions from the sales floor, dressing rooms or even on the sidewalk. Aptos Mobile Store brings information directly to sales associates’ mobile devices to better serve customers. The solution also is designed to help store personnel manage inventory more efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
Additionally, the retailer is leveraging Aptos CRM to collect and analyze customer data and better understand buying behaviors and preferences. To streamline the management of its more than 15,000 SKUs, Youngland Kiddie Shops is using Aptos Merchandising to streamline merchandise, ordering, pricing, distribution and management. Aptos Merchandising also is designed to enable synchronized and integrated purchasing, pricing, receiving, allocation, replenishment, and inventory management.
