SuperSaturday Retail Event Benefits RetailROI Charity

Charitable foundation Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI) will be hosting SuperSaturday, a fundraiser that will gather prominent thinkers to discuss the convergence of Marketing and IT, store technologies, social media success stories, mobile devices, among other insights. The annual event is free for retailers and will take place in New York on January 14, 2012 prior to the 2012 National Retail Federation (NRF) Convention and Expo. All proceeds from sponsorships directly benefit organizations involved in orphan care, adoption support and foster care. “RetailROI SuperSaturday is a must for any retailer who wants to take advantage of expert insight into retail IT trends and strategy, and there’s no easier way for retailers to help kids,” said Greg Buzek, Founder of IHL Services and Donor Trustee for RetailROI. “The more retailers who show up, the more kids we can help — it’s that simple.” The confirmed speakers for the upcoming event include retail executives from The Hershey Company, The Children’s Place and Build-a-Bear Workshop. In other recent news, Buzek was honored by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) with the first annual Paul Singer Award during the 13th Annual Angels in adoption Congressional gala. The award is given to leaders who have gone beyond their corporate or agency roles to advocate for better adoption and/or foster care policies worldwide.
