ShippingEasy Launches Voice-Enabled Shipping Solution

ShippingEasy, a cloud-based shipping solution provider, has introduced a conversational user interface. The innovation leverages Alexa to enable online sellers to pick, pack and ship orders without needing to touch a keyboard.

The solution works with both Alexa devices and the Alexa app, allowing employees to handle tasks while they are away from their stations, such as when they get boxes prepared. The software can handle a number of duties hands-free, including:

  • Managing orders;
  • Shipping orders;
  • Printing labels, packing slips and picklists;
  • Purchasing postage; and
  • Checking postage balances.

Users can ask shipping-related questions to better track and manage orders, and the software is capable of handling questions such as “How many orders did I ship last week?” and “What type of packaging?”
