The Retail TouchPoints Retail Innovation Conference (RIC) has announced its dates and venue for 2019. The event will return to Convene, in midtown Manhattan, on May 6-8.
This event, which has grown every year since it began in 2014, saw attendance spike 40% for the 2018 conference. Much of the draw came from the impressive roster of speakers, from retail industry leaders including Walmart, 1-800-Flowers and Dunkin’ Brands, along with up-and-coming disruptors like TechStyle Fashion Group, UNTUCKit and Sugarfina. As in previous years, RIC 2019 will feature provocative keynoters; informative breakout sessions; an exhibit area for sponsoring solution providers; and plenty of opportunities for attendees to network and socialize. The event also will include the presentation of the sixth annual Retail Innovator Awards, presented to individuals who are successfully disrupting the retail status quo.
Retail executives reaped significant benefits from attending the event. “#RIC18 was one of the best I attended all year,” said Erin Estelle, Marketing Director, 99 Cents Only Stores. “It is packed with powerhouse speakers from America’s largest retailers and still manages to provide an intimate environment.”
“#RIC18 was definitely a worthwhile event,” said Jeff Gamsey, VP of Private Brands at Boxed. “It featured a diverse group of impressive industry professionals sharing actionable insights into how to succeed in a dynamic and rapidly-evolving industry.”
