Pegasus Lighting relaunched its web site last month, with features including responsive design for easier navigation and customer engagement across all screen sizes, as well as large, vibrant product images. The Digital Commerce Suite from Aptos (formerly Epicor Retail Solutions) powers the new site, along with end-to-end e-Commerce capabilities including order management.
By leveraging the Aptos solution, Pegasus was able to replace and retire the two systems it formerly used to store and manage product data, which enables a streamlined process that saves time and allows Pegasus to offer a wider range of products. Product Information Management (PIM) capabilities integrated into the solution support centralized management of product content, specifications and images (with auto re-sizing tools); videos; shipping options at the item level; ratings and reviews; and rich taxonomies.
The revamped web site also includes a “Learn Center,” which features articles on projects, design tips and buying guides — with links to many of the more than 4,000 items Pegasus carries. The content is already driving additional traffic, said Pegasus CEO Chris Johnson in a statement.
