Harris Teeter, a regional grocery retailer, is switching to a cloud-based version of Web dSignShop from AccessVia to better manage in-store shelf-edge sign printing.
Harris Teeter has been self-hosting Web dSignShop since 2004, relying on internal IT resources to run the system. With Web dSignShop SaaS, implementation, maintenance and support services are handled by AccessVia, minimizing involvement by the grocer’s IT staff and technical infrastructure.

Using data from a central source, Web dSignShop SaaS seamlessly delivers print and digital promotions to stores for immediate availability and high-speed production via the Internet. The solution provides shelf-edge merchandising programs and signs in sync with POS and back-end retail systems. It is one of several tools in the AccessVia Publishing Platform, which gives retailers such as Harris Teeter control over all aspects of designing, publishing, and managing shelf-edge product merchandising.
In addition, Harris Teeter hopes to improve store associates’ efficiency while they work in the aisles by implementing the recently updated AccessVia Mobile In-Aisle extension. This solution brings printing applications from the back room to the aisles with a mobile, handheld printing application device. Now store associates can engage with customers while using the mobile unit to scan product barcodes in store aisles to create replacement shelf tags and signs.
