Giant Eagle Taps Symphony EYC For Personalization, Promo Upgrades

Giant Eagle, a family-operated supermarket company, has signed a multi-year contract with Symphony EYC. The retailer will leverage Symphony’s solutions for customer insights, personalized marketing, promotions, assortment and space.

Through the partnership, Giant Eagle is looking to drive sustainable growth and customer loyalty by improving merchandising and promotions with better customer data. The retailer also will use Symphony to improve communications with customers across channels.

“Competition in our market isn’t new for us, nor is the knowledge that we must constantly get to know our customers better — we’ve been on this path,” said Ian Prisuta, SVP of Non-Perishables Merchandising for Giant Eagle in a statement. “However, with each day, customer data and complexity grows significantly, and we know that to make truly informed decisions — those that exceed customer expectations and lead to growth — we need highly sophisticated and proven solutions. And it’s not just about our customers, we need to cover the full value chain to include shared insights and enhanced strategies with our suppliers as well.”
