MC Sports Chooses JDA Retail Solutions To Increase Revenue And Reduce Inventory Levels

Mid-size sporting goods chain MC Sports has chosen JDA Allocation and JDA Size Scaling during the Q2 2011 in an effort to increase revenue while reducing inventory levels. “We believe JDA solutions will provide the tools necessary to improve in-stock positions, increase turns, raise gross margins and ultimately increase revenues for our company,” said Bruce Ullery, President and CEO at MC Sports, in a press release. With the use of JDA Allocation, retailers are able to create accurate, store-specific allocations based on any combination and level of demand, plan and historical performance data. Additionally, JDA Size Scaling is designed to help businesses with assortment, ordering, manufacturing, distribution and replenishment of detailed size curves into an automated, cost-effective process, driven by advanced predictive and descriptive mathematical techniques. This solution provides frequent updates on unique consumer shopping patterns by time period and changing demographics.

Celebrant Redesigns POS Screen For Ease Of Use

Celebrant Technology has redesigned its point of sale (POS) screen for ease of use and navigation. The screen maintains retailers’ operational awareness at store level through price-optimization, customer satisfaction initiatives, employee management and inventory control. “The development of the new POS screen has enabled us to revamp the current layout, which has been redesigned so that menu items and customer data are more accessible to the user,” said Robert Goldman, CTO and Vice President of Celebrant Technology. “Additional options were added to generate green receipts, view images per line item and provide a simpler method of entering discounts. Items are also more object-oriented and users may employ XML templates for laying out receipts by customer and by machine.”
