Ahold Delhaize has chosen NCR Corporation to provide Digital Connected Services to its Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall locations as part of a five-year contract. These services will help the retailer manage stores through real-time monitoring, ensuring that their devices have maximum uptime.
NCR will use its intelligent dashboard technology to monitor devices in the store, as well as harnessing predictive diagnostics to proactively, and often remotely, resolve incidents before they impact customers. Proactive monitoring can resolve nearly 40% of troubleshooting incidents, and the partnership is expected to reduce IT incidents by 21% and increase the availability of equipment by 11%, which will increase efficiency at Ahold’s brands, according to NCR.
“We are delighted to extend the long-term relationship we’ve had with NCR with the contract extension,” said Andrew Brothers, CIO of Europe & Indonesia at Ahold Delhaize in a statement. “NCR has been a key aspect for delivering good value to our customers, and they have consistently worked to modernize the interaction with store associates and enhance the customer experience in our stores.”
