The New York Workshop, which took place May 1, featured results from a recent study on social media and mobile phone usage as they pertain to retail and e-Commerce. The study, conducted in partnership with Shop.org and The Partnering Group, examined consumers’ use of social and mobile media to research retailers and products. Other workshop elements included a session on the impact of social, local and mobile (SoLoMo) technology on consumers’ behavior patterns, and a case study on the Gilt Groupe’s mobile and social engagement strategy.

On May 3, Shop.org hosted its Digital Retail Marketing Workshop from San Francisco. The event featured a keynote presentation from Mark Mahaney, Managing Director of Internet Research at Citi Investment Research. During the session, Mahaney explored his top 10 Internet trends and what they mean for the e-Commerce market.
