Gardner White, a family-owned furniture retailer that has been in business for 113 years, will provide customers with tens of millions of dollars’ worth of furniture if the Detroit Lions NFL team can do what it’s never done in franchise history — win the Super Bowl. The retailer’s second annual Super Sale, now through Aug. 13 will provide rebates for in-store and online purchases of furniture and mattresses if the Lions end up roaring the loudest on Feb. 8, 2026.
According to ESPN, oddsmakers rate the Lions as the fifth-most likely team to win Super Bowl 60, at 9-1. Last year’s champs the Philadelphia Eagles are the current favorites, followed by the Baltimore Ravens, the Buffalo Bills and last year’s Super Bowl loser the Kansas City Chiefs.
“The energy around last year’s Super Sale was incredible, and we’re thrilled to bring it back for year two,” said Rachel Stewart, CEO of Gardner White in a statement. “The passion of Detroit Lions fans and the pride of our community are unmatched. We’re proud to partner with the Lions and cheer the team on all the way.”
Additionally, the retailer will again present the Gardner White Game Ball Delivery contest, providing one lucky youth with the opportunity to deliver the official game ball to Lions’ mascot Roary at each home game. Parents can get more details and enter their child in the contest at any of the 18 Gardner White stores throughout Michigan beginning in mid-August.
