Outdoor gear retailer Backcountry has selected Centric Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution for emerging brands, Centric SMB, to help it plan, design and develop products. The retailer will use the software to position itself for future growth with a focus on private label items.
Backcountry’s private label team is aiming to improve collaboration, reduce data entry errors and create a better workstream flow. The retailer also expects to benefit from Centric SMB’s reporting capabilities, designed to increase overall efficiency.
Centric partnered with another apparel retailer, Brazil-based C&A, in January 2021. The retailer is harnessing the solution to improve communication between its designers and suppliers.
