Report: Papyrus May Be Shuttering All 260+ Locations

Papyrus is reportedly closing down all of its brick-and-mortar locations, according to Business Insider. Parent company Schurman Retail Group has not responded to inquiries, but employees at individual stores have confirmed some of the closings.

An employee at a California store said that they saw an email saying all stores would be shutting down, while another in the Midwest said they’d heard that stores would be closing, but wasn’t sure if theirs would be affected, according to Business Insider. Another employee in New York said they hadn’t heard anything about store closures.

Schurman Retail Group has not responded to Retail TouchPoints’ request for comment.

Papyrus current operates more than 260 stores, according to the retailer’s web site. The company’s banners include Papyrus, NIQUEA.D, Paper Destiny, Carlton Cards Retail and American Greetings retail.
