Aldi Adds On-Demand Delivery Options Through DoorDash

Aldi new stores U.S.

Aldi has entered a partnership with DoorDash to offer on-demand grocery delivery from nearly all 2,278Aldi locations across 38 states. Customers can shop for fresh produce, meat, seafood, dairy, bread, household essentials and even home goods through the ALDI Finds collection.

Shoppers can place their orders through the DoorDash app or website. All participating Aldi stores will be available on DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program, which will offer subscribers free delivery on orders of $35 or more.

“By partnering with DoorDash, we can conveniently bring our award-winning, fresh and affordable groceries to even more of our customers’ doors with the click of a button,” said Scott Patton, VP of National Buying at Aldi in a statement. “Whether shopping for a weekly grocery haul or in need of a few extra ingredients for tonight’s dinner, our customers now have another way to shop ALDI for all their grocery needs.”

DoorDash has been steadily finding new retail partners and expanding its offerings  despite plans to lay off 1,250 employees to right-size its workforce following massive pandemic growth. Other recent partnerships and expansions include:
