Like all retailers, home improvement brands strive to build and maintain customer loyalty, but the stakes for them are higher than for most given the scale and length of many home repair and renovation projects. One sign that these retailers have been successful is that 45% of Americans rank their brand loyalty in this vertical as an eight or higher (on a scale 1 to 10, and only 7% say they have no preference when choosing a store. Additionally, 15% of respondents ranked their loyalty at 10 out of 10.
The Home Depot took the crown as the most popular home improvement store in the U.S., grabbing 44.3% of shoppers’ votes. The home improvement retailer was particularly popular in the 29 states that selected it as local shoppers’ top choice.
