PANGAIA @ Lane Crawford

DTC sustainable clothing brand PANGAIA has debuted its first physical brand experience in Asia in partnership with department store Lane Crawford.

The brand has been brought to life in a temporary installation at Lane Crawford stores across Hong Kong and mainland China, including Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing. The immersive retail experience takes cues from the brand’s commitment to “high tech naturalism” and features a curated range of products, including PANGAIA’s 365 core offerings, that highlight the brand’s focus on product innovation through science.

Fusing education and entertainment, the PANGAIA installation aims to “transport guests on a journey of discovery” across multiple facets of the brand. Upon entering the store, guests are greeted by a circular living peppermint gardenhighlighting the brand’s trademark PPRMINT technology, which covers each fabric fiber with natural peppermint oil to help clothes stay fresher, longer in order to save water and energy on cleaning.

The retail space uses a circular format designed to be both airy and functional, featuring PANGAIA’s vibrant, colorful visual language. Tying back to the scientific roots of the brand, storage for the retail space has been built in the form of the periodic table.

Additionally, the space has been designed to be climate-positive by measuring and offsetting the entire carbon footprint (plus 10%) of the retail experience across select Lane Crawford locations, while also taking into account employee commuting, material use, material transport, site electricity and heating.
