Xesto has launched Xesto Fit, a 3D foot sizing app that uses a smartphone to recommend shoe sizes. The software aims to help shoppers scan themselves, within 1.5mm accuracy, from the comfort of their own homes.
Shoppers take four photos of each foot in under one minute, using their own iPhone FaceID camera. Xesto then creates 3D reconstructions of their feet. From there, the shoppers can choose the correct size, browse available brands and share the information with others to make gifting easier.
Xesto Fit was designed to save both fulfillment costs and landfill waste by reducing excess packaging, transportation and reverse logistics through better-fitting online purchases. The tool aims to minimize returns due to poor-fitting shoes and to build loyalty by making shoppers more confident about their purchases.
