Retailers still using legacy systems are having a difficult time bridging the gap between in-store POS systems and their e-Commerce platforms. With an updated infrastructure, retailers have the opportunity to adopt e-Commerce functionality in-store and create a more seamless omnichannel experience.
Sparkle CS has developed the App Store for POS, a Platform-as-a-service (PaaS) that allows retailers to connect physical POS systems to the omnichannel digital marketplace without modifying POS software.
The platform creates an open framework for retailers and even third-party vendors to seamlessly add their own apps into the POS. Retailers can use the platform to conduct A/B testing with their own or other parties’ apps, update apps and unify their e-Commerce, mobile and physical platforms into a single customer experience.

The App Store for POS allows multiple interfaces to be plugged into the platform, including NFC, RFID and QR codes, giving retailers a multitude of options to create their own unique shopping experience. The platform also includes a Redemption Validation (RV) app, which enables the POS to accept digital and paper couponswith controls against misredemption, reuse and fraud.
