Teradata, a data analytics technology company, has appointed Oliver Ratzesberger as President and CEO, effective immediately. He succeeds Victor Lund, who will transition to Executive Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
Ratzesberger has served as COO of Teradata since February 2018 and was responsible for the company’s global operations and for leading its strategies for go-to-market, products and services. From 2016 to 2018, he served as EVP and Chief Product Officer, leading Teradata’s research and development efforts.
While COO, Ratzesberger worked alongside Lund in architecting and implementing the company’s transformation, which included the company moving its headquarters from Miamisburg, Ohio to San Diego and adding 200 jobs in the process.

Teradata also appointed Michael Gianoni — CEO of Blackbaud and a board member since 2015 — as Independent Lead Director. James Ringler, who had been Chairman of Teradata since 2007, remains a board member.
