Sears has appointed former Amazon VP Girish Lakshman as its President of Fulfillment. Lakshman’s role will support the company’s efforts to fulfill consumer needs and advance its integrated retail strategy.
Lakshman most recently served as VP of Worldwide Transportation Strategy, Technology and Customer Returns at Amazon. During his 15 years at Amazon, Lakshman held a variety of roles that covered transportation, technology, logistics, operational excellence and management.
Prior to working at Amazon, Lakshman’s career focused on operations planning for manufacturing and industrial engineering functions.

Lakshman is presently a member of the GrubHub Board of Directors, which he has served on since March 2015. Girish also serves on the advisory board of the Master of Supply Chain Transportation and Logistics program at University of Washington.
“Girish’s strong operational discipline, process thinking and experience leading change make him a strong fit for Sears Holdings,” said Edward S. Lampert, Sears Holdings’ Chairman and CEO. “He will work closely with me and our supply chain and inventory management leaders to enhance our members’ experiences and support our transformation as an integrated retailer.”
