Starbucks has appointed Leanne Fremar as SVP and Executive Creative Director, beginning in October 2016. Fremar, who joins the company from Under Armour, will be responsible for leading the creative development of Starbucks’ global brand initiatives and marketing campaigns, and will oversee branding, creative and marketing of Starbucks Roasteries and its Reserve brand.
Additionally, Fremar will be leading Starbucks partnerships with 72 & Sunny, Integer Group and Spark, as well as the company’s in-house Creative Studio based in Seattle. She will report to Sharon Rothstein, Starbucks’ Global CMO.
“Starbucks’ brand legacy has truly been about creative and emotional storytelling, which has been built and nurtured from within our own in-house team,” said Rothstein in a statement. “Leanne brings 20 years of marketing and creative expertise from some of the most iconic and admired apparel and fashion brands. Her strategy, vision and dynamic leadership will guide us into the next evolution of creative expression at Starbucks.”
