Wincor Nixdorf, a provider of retail and retail banking hardware, software and services, announced the Wincor Wallet, an electronic wallet that turns smartphones into cashless payments devices.
The new checkout-independent payment solution integrates with the Wincor Nixdorf TP Application Suite, a software platform designed to streamline retail check-out. All standard smartphones can access Wincor Wallet through quick response (QR) codes or Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.
Wincor Wallet accepts various mobile payments, including credit and debit cards, coupons and vouchers. With the Wincor Nixdorf Payment Gateway operating in the background, Wincor Wallet transactions are processed in an IT environment certified by the Payment Card Industry (PCI), which ensures the security of the cashless transactions.
