Toronto-based tech startup Unata, a one-to-one digital solutions provider for grocers, has reported 350% year-over-year revenue growth in 2016. This follows an equally impressive 700% revenue growth rate in 2015.
Unata credits its expansion to three new retail partner additions this year, including Roche Bros. and two other customer implementation that will be disclosed later this year. Roche Bros. recently leveraged the solution to help build out a new omnichannel experience and help boost its e-Commerce offering. Unata’s retailer partner network is expected to exceed 1,000 supermarket locations by the end of the year.
Additionally, Unata has experienced strong internal growth and is poised to surpass 70 employees by the end of 2016. The company has also released a new product, eCircular 2.0, a mobile-friendly online circular for grocery retailers that features one-to-one personalization capabilities. The product is currently being used by grocers Lowes Foods and Lunds & Byerlys.

“Not only will additional team members help with the new retail accounts we have signed, but also ensure Unata continues to deliver many new and best-in-class experiences and features throughout the year,” said Marc Faucher, Unata COO and CFO in a statement. “It’s an exciting growth period as we continue to see consumers’ accelerated adoption of digital services within the grocery vertical.”
