Fashion and apparel retailers TOMS Shoes and Raven + Lily are showcasing their product collections in a Chicago mobile concept store, as part of the ShopWithMe 2015 holiday tour.
ShopWithMe, the retail division of commerce innovation startup WithMe, introduced the 3,000-square-foot portable store that is designed to be mass produced, can be set up anywhere in the U.S. and shipped throughout the world. The store concept is built for both traditional retailers moving toward smaller showroom locations, and online retailers looking to expand into physical stores.
“We are thrilled to be a part of ShopWithMe’s innovative, sustainable store model,” said Kirsten Dickerson, Founder of Raven + Lily. “Customers are able to leverage technology to gain a deeper understanding of the story behind our products through their interactive kiosk. We look forward to seeing them introduce this new shopping experience to a wider audience.”

The ShopWithMe location will showcase products from TOMS Shoes and Raven + Lily on customized smart fixtures such as glass top digital displays and LED-driven decor.
ShopWithMe debuted this concept in 2014, when it opened a 20,000-foot pop-up shop for Zappos in Las Vegas.
As part of the environment, customers will experience changing rooms that engage with them via interactive mirror displays, allowing shoppers to make purchases or request alternate products, colors and sizes without leaving the room.
All products and fixtures in the store are RFID-embedded. The store includes beacons, so that consumers who have the ShopWithMe mobile app can receive personalized messages and product suggestions.
ShopWithMe plans to bring its stores to Chicago, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Miami within the next few months, and will begin shipping stores globally in January 2016.
“We are going to be doing for retail what the Amazon cloud did for technology companies,” said Jonathan Jenkins, Founder and CEO of WithMe. “So many great tech companies have been formed over the last 10 years because the cost of starting them has dropped significantly. Think of ShopWithMe retail stores like you do Amazon servers. We set up the infrastructure, and all the brands have to do is flip a switch to scale up or down very quickly without the large upfront investment.”
