Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc. and its subsidiaries have partnered with the National Volunteer Fire Council to raise funds for local fire departments as part of the “Salute to Local Heroes” campaign.
From November 23 to December 31, consumers can donate to the National Volunteer Fire Council when completing a purchase at Sears Hometown stores, Sears Home Appliance Showrooms, Sears Appliance & Hardware Stores and Sears Outlet locations. All donated funds will go directly to the fire station located near each store. In addition, $2 from each Craftsman Bottle Cap Wrench purchase will be directly donated to the local department.
The campaign is designed to provide firehouses nationwide with funds to improve resources for training, equipment and financial support, including:

“We’re excited to align ourselves with an organization that will help us make a deeper connection within our communities, while positively impacting them as a whole,” said David Buckley, CMO of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores. “By partnering with one fire department in each town, we hope to make a greater impact on each of the selected firehouses.”
