Salesforce has launched Einstein Search for Commerce, a set of advanced AI-powered capabilities designed to help shoppers find products on e-Commerce sites more quickly and easily.
The search bar remains a valuable tool within e-Commerce sites. Consumers who use search are 2.4X more likely to buy, according to the Salesforce Shopping Index. These searchers also drive more revenue, spending 2.6X more across mobile and desktop retailer sites compared to those who don’t use search.
Einstein Search for Commerce includes three distinct features:

-
Einstein Search Dictionaries, which consumes all site searches and surfaces terms that are being searched for but are not in retailer’s dictionaries, then recommends a synonym to add to the list;
-
Einstein Search Recommendations, which personalizes type-ahead search. The feature uses the shopper’s behavior, such as past and recent searches, to power 1-to-1 recommendations; and
-
Keyword Search Sorting Rules, which determine the order in which products are displayed and empowers merchandisers to prioritize certain terms and pull specific results forward.
Einstein Search Dictionaries and Keyword Search Sorting Rules will be generally available in Q1 2018. Einstein Search Recommendations will be available in beta in Q1 2018. The platforms are built into the Commerce Cloud at no additional cost.
